ZDNet reports that in-flight WiFi service is about to begin on Lufthansa flights, followed closely by Singapore Airlines and several other international carriers. US carriers are lagging way behind because of the post-9/11 hard times.
How much will it cost? Geek.com has a breakdown of the pricing structure, which ranges from $9.95 for the first half hour up to $29.95 flat for over 6 hours. It sounds a little high, but if you’re like me and have to fly to places like Singapore every so often, it sounds well worth it. Especially if my company is picking up the bill.
