StumbleUpon is a free browser toolbar that connects you to a network of people and pages rated by like-minded peers searching in similiar categories. If you like (or dislike) a site, you vote for it or write a quick review by clicking the toolbar button. Clicking on the Stumble button gives you a random site pulled from your general areas of interest. An intriguing concept , eh? Birq gives it less than a month before Google buys ’em right up, and considering Google’s mania for collecting data on the formation of social networks (orkut, gmail invites) I can’t say I disagree with him. Check it out – PcPro mag called it “second most useful web browsing tool after Google itself” and after using it for awhile we’re starting to agree. Once you get the toolbar installed, come back and give us a “thumbs up” please! 🙂

Hmm, close friend of mine that wrote Naviscope and sold it to ZoneAlarms, had actually thought about implementing this concept with his proxy server tool.
I wonder how he’ll tak eit when I tell him about this thing.
