People in Montana and Sydney are piloting a new wireless broadband solution that gives 1MB/sec throughput with up to a 5 mile range, making Wi-Fi a whole lot more useful and truly mobile.
It will be interesting to see if carriers can provide enough coverage for decent-sized cities at an affordable rate. It would be really cool to have connectivity ‘anywhere’ without having to find hotspots and do the WEP key shuffle.
