PX-AV100U.jpgSo you’re talking with your friends about a video you made once, back in the days of VHS and they say “Hey! Grab the tape and lets watch it!” Problem #1, you last had a VCR 5 years ago and the tape has just been in storage. Solution? Dig out the tape, borrow or rent a VHS player and get out this sweet little gadget. From the people who bring us some sweet burners, Plextor’s ConvertX PX-AV100U. This is not your father’s oldsmobile, this is an easy way to connect a camcorder, VCR, TV or DVD player to start working with video on a PC. Included with this nifty little “flask” sized gadget is InterVideo WinDVD Creator software so you can edit your video, make interactive DVDs and to convert video to DivX video to share on the internet. I know the title of this post is a bit misleading but ultimately you can bring the fabulous movies you made in the 80s with you anywhere you have access to a DVD player. Then you can finally toss that big bulky VHS tape in the trash. I wouldn’t mind really reviewing this puppy in the future. For now, for $79, I think I’d say you can’t go wrong.
