There’s not too much to the Nyko Xbox 360 Multi Reader really. It’s a combo USB hubba hubba with three USB ports AND a card reader that can deftly handle Smart Media, Compact Flash, Sony Memory Stick Duo and Secure Digital cards. So why am I recommending this gadget? Because I only have three USB ports on my laptop and the Nyko Multi Reader gives me two extra ports and a card reader that handles the media I use everyday. I actually have it velcro’ed to the lid of my laptop for easy access. I have a 4GB and 1GB USB memory stick I use regularly and using HDTach clocked them at exactly the same speeds they run at when directly plugged into my laptop.
Speaking of, if you’re looking for the fastest and most cost effective USB drives out there look no further than the ATP 4GB ToughDrive and ATP 1GB Petito. HDTach clocks them at a sustained access rate of 32MB/s which is exactly 2MB/s faster than my pokey laptop drive!
Nyko, please don’t ever stop making quality peripherals. We love you long time.
