I picked up a used copy of SOCOM: Fireteam Bravo and the PSP Headset last night. I was intrigued to see how well the voice chat works and how close Sony is to being able to offer true VOIP and not just for chatting in game. The sound quality of the headset is what you would expect for twenty bucks, not bad but not fantastic. The microphone seems to work well, but for those of you who have misplaced the remote that came with your PSP you’d better start looking. To use the PSP Headset in SOCOM you have to plug it into the headset remote that came with the PSP. So why didn’t Sony make the cord for the headset in white? The remote cord is white but the headset cord is black. Recommended for those into SOCOM who want a headset now, but if you’re looking for something better hold off until Logitech releases their offering.
