Amazon is now offering the Phillips Home AED, which for those of you not familiar is the closest thing to a medical droid that you can get in this day and age. (After all, it’s only the 21st century.) These devices are typically found on airplanes and hospitals and work like so: turn it on, and follow the verbal instructions it gives. Once connected to the patient the device diagnoses the victim and determines if a shock to the ticker is needed. This item is the first in our new “Survival Gadgets” category, and is a must for anyone who wants to be prepared for almost any urban emergency.
