Odd Man In is a web-based game that sounds like a combination of Survivor (the original, not Vanuatu or East St. Louis or wherever they are these days) and Russian Roulette, mixed in with some old-school turn-based “move and pray and wait until everyone else moves so you know if you survived or not” games that we used to play back in the BBS days.
The way this one works is that you log in and see a list of everyone that is still in the game, then select from a dropdown the person that you want to shoot that round. If you are shot an even number of times, you’re out. If you get shot an odd number of times, you continue to the next round. Yes, it’s not quite Grand Theft Auto.
It sounds very simple, and I suppose it actually is. Apparently, though, there can be a lot of scheming and plotting to form alliances to get certain people out, but when the game starts with around 100 people, I’m not quite sure how that’s going to work. I haven’t played yet, but I’m signed up for the next round. Come join me and maybe you can be one of the lucky ones to pop a cap in me.
