Trevor Blackwell, in true geek fashion, decided to create his own version of the Segway from off-the-shelf parts. He succeeded, and for half the price of a Segway, built what looks like a pretty good balancing scooter. In true geek fashion though, it has none safety features or failsafes of the Segway, but if you are going to do something, you can’t do it in true geek fashion unless there is a real chance of injury or death.
