Nokia is marketing the N-Gage as a portable gaming platform first, and as a phone and multi-function gadget (MP3 player, Symbian apps, FM Radio, PDA) second. In my opinion, they are marketing it all wrong. It’s really obvious (especially after you read this review from HowardChui.com) that the N-Gage is a really incredible Tri-Band phone & multi-function gadget first, that also happens to play games second. I suspect that if Nokia’s marketing approach were changed, they would get the right demographic audience interested in their product. I thought it was a total cheese system until I read about some of the less well known functions it can perform, like using it to play video clips and view digital photos. Based on all the awesome phone and gadget features it packs, it’s on my list for Christmas, and I can hardly wait! |
