Back in the beginning of 2001 Panasonic and/or Imation released a SuperDrive that could fit 32MB on a normal 1.44MB floppy disk. I’ve just picked up one of these in a stock clearance sale. I was only after it as a funky floppy drive for my otherwise floppy-challenged PCs, but this is pretty cool. Pocket Review: They work as advertised. Copying 32MB to a floppy takes about as long as formatting a 1.44. If you put the disk in a normal drive it has a readme.txt file explaining the format. Nice. |
