Microsoft’s Cambridge office in Britain are designing a GPS (global-positioning-satellite) enabled clock that will allow parents to track family members. The Familiy Awareness Clock was prototyped recently at Microsoft’s internal tech fair in Seattle.
“We were inspired by J.K. Rowling’s take on [family tracking] in the form of the Weasley’s family clock with different hands corresponding to the whereabouts of different members of the Weasley family,” Microsoft spokeswoman Julie Woodbury said.
The design of the clock is still in the conceptualization phase, however we’re secretly hoping for a design that follow’s Flava Flav’s trademark gigantor clock worn round the neck. GPS-enabled clocks made by Microsoft to track your kids… what do you think about this idea?
