I recently received the VG Pocket Max as a gift, and was impressed by the brightness of the little 2.5 inch screen. There are two versions of this new handheld gaming unit, the Pocket with 50 games and the Pocket Max with 75 games. The games are entertaining enough and the TV-out feature is nice, however you cannot display the game on the LCD and your TV at the same time. The only drawback is screen scratching – the VG Pocket Max screen is more sensitive than the PSP screen. The Pocket Max spent only a few minutes in my jeans pocket and the screen was horribly scratched. Mildly recommended.

This is a pretty cool machine, and it looks a bit like Mr. PSP and Mrs. GBA had a baby, in a good way. I’m impressed that they managed to squeeze in 75 games to play, and I might buy one! I must remember to get screen protectors though…
