Trifield Natural EM Meter
Is there somethin weird in the neighborhood? Who you gonna call? If you’re a Ghost Buster, you’d call on the help of the Trifield Natural EM Meter. You won’t need to break the bank to get one either. At only $180 it’s an affordable tool for ghost busters from all walks of life.

What’s in the box?

EM Meter
Sorry, no proton packs included. The Trifield comes with the unit itself, including 9 Volt battery and instruction sheets.

What’s good about it?

EM Meter
The Trifield has the capability to scan for Electrical fields, Magnetic fields, Electromagnetic, and RF/Microwaves. According to Adam Nori of the Minnesota Paranormal Study Group (http://www.minnesotaghosts.com) “…it is a nice piece of equipment but its truely optional for a ghost hunter. Other simple EMF meters do the same results for the electromagnetic field only you don’t get the other two fields of radio and microwave.” The price point is also nice, if you are interested in doing some ghost hunting of your own, the Trifield will only set you back $180. Adam went on to say “The way that we use the Trifield on investigations is to find out what electrical fields are present in haunting cases. Sometimes radio waves can play around with our audio equipment and leave signals on the tapes so we measure that with a baseline reading or how much of that field is present. We do the same with the two other fields. We walk around a location with the EMF or Trifield meters to see if there are any spikes in the area. IF there is, we mark it and then go back with other equipment like an audio recorder or take photos of that area. Basically we just use the meters to find areas that could be considered hotspots and then use those for other evidence.” Thank you Adam for your comments. To me, being a Trek geek and all, I see this as not only a ghost hunting device, but also a precursor to the Tricorder in that it senses EM fields.

What could be improved?

a bit sensitive
According to Adam, the unit can be a bit too sensitive. “The trifield is a nice piece of equipment but it has one problem. It picks up human movement and energy from the body very, very easily. When using it, you have to do it almost by yourself and your team has to be at least 25 feet away from you. The user has to walk very slowly and also try to note any areas of spikes by himself.” However, this is a small shortcoming for having a very accurate piece of equipment at such a great price.

GadgetMadness Verdict: Get a ghost bustin machine!

Trifield is good
If there’s somethin weird, and it don’t look good… call on the Trifield to localize the ghoulish hot spots and get your proton packs ready to bust some ghosts!

The Trifield EM Natural is absolutely *not* like the other “simple” EMF detectors on the market. It’s unique.
It’s designed to ignore ELF and powerline frequencies (such as 60Hz in the US and 50Hz in Europe) while zeroing in on relatively static fields that are under 10Hz (Cycles per second).
It’s also far more sensitive, and lastly, can also be used like an intruder alarm due to it’s sensitivity to biological electrical fields. Try *that* with a common cheap EMF meter.
