The nuvo home robot is advertised as the “the first-home-use-type humanoid robot in the world, which means âthe humanoid robot for everyoneâ, not in the movie, drama, or novel, but in your daily life.” Commands are issued via voice recognition, remote control and Internet access via mobile phone. Nuvo can tell you the time, play your favorite music, and make your photo albums with his “camera function.” (“Why is your photo album full of knee shots?” your friends will ask.)
The product PDF also says that “In the near future ânuvoâ will become your personal agent as well as your special partner making your lifestyle more active and rich.” Hey, as long as he can get me a part in the next Firefly movie, I’m happy.
As of July 14th, there are 100 nuvos available for the US market at 7K a pop. Would he make a tasty snack for Roboraptor? At this price, we may never know.
