This interesting PMP has a tiny 3.6″ screen and accepts CF cards with an “instacopy” button to transfer files from CF to the internal 40GB hard drive. I had my hands on one of these in CompUSA today, and I have to say I wasn’t too impressed. Even though it plays just about every format imaginable (MPEG-4, DivX, WMV9, XviD, MOV & more) it feels like cheap plastic, and the LCD doesn’t shut off when the lid is closed. I can’t find what format it actually records in, but you can connect any video source to it and record directly to the drive. Also interesting was the built-in FM tuner that lets you listen to and record FM broadcasts. The FlashTrax XT could have potential, but for the money you’re better off going with the Neuros Recorder 2 to record video content.
