As more and more hybrid cars hit the market and gas prices climb higher and higher one can only look into investing in one of these electric/gas cars. However as much as you may believe, the “hybrid” tag in the cars name does not mean it is the most economical and fuel efficient alternative for you. In fact, as stated in this New York Times article, there are certain hybrid cars that offer poor fuel economy and in many cases are rather pointless and deceiving to the buyer. The article points out certain variables needed to be considered before buying a hybrid and how some people may be better off with a conventional car. An interesting read none the less whether you plan on a car purchase now or later.
