Flexpay Self-Destructing DVDs At Staples

Deciding not to learn from history, Staples & Flexpay have teamed up to provide oxygen-sensitive DVDs at 1500 retail locations that will decay two days after being removed from their airtight pouches. Consumers are then encouraged to recycle the discs or mail them into flexpay, however being human beings we know we wouldn't go to the hassle of mailing them in ourselves.

We think that these discs are a double insult both to consumers and the environment, however since we're oddballs that prefer digital downloads from services like iTunes and Unbox we're probably not qualified to weigh in. Flexpay has 49 titles in their movie library, including "Dream Girls" and "Snakes On A Plane."
