Ever watch TV and wish you had instant replay like the referees at the superbowl?...the referees at the superbowl?...the ref... sorry, was having too much fun with the Tivo Series 2 80-hour Digital Video Recorder from Humax.

What's in the box?

The Humax T800 TiVo comes with cabling to connect it to your TV and home audio equipment, manuals, and TiVo remote with batteries. You will need to connect the TiVo to your home telephone line or if you are lucky enough to have the latest firmware, a USB wireless or wired Network Interface card will allow you to connect to DSL or Cable internet. This is important as the guide info is downloaded from TiVo. Standard telephone line method takes a long time so if you have high speed, go that route. It took me mere minutes to hook everything up and begin the setup process which it steps you through.

What's good about it?

Plenty of connectivity options. Many people have Cable boxes or Digital TV boxes from their provider and the Humax has the capability using an IR blaster, to control these boxes. Have a home theater? This things got hookups-a-plenty! With the Media Access Key and software from TiVo, you can take your TV with you on your laptop! Besides all this, there's the main features of being able to record, pause live TV, rewind, fast forward, finally take command of your TV viewing!

GadgetMadness Verdict:3 green "thumbs up" buttons up!
