There's nothing quite like reading a good book. The problem is though, that it takes quite a bit of light to read at night without straining your eyes. It's even harder to find light that you can use without bothering other people. Finally though I have a worthy replacement for all of those cheap book lights. The Verilux book light is mighty impressive and is the perfect book light for any user. Read on for our review.
I was suprised at all the stuff that came in the box. I guess I'm so use to only purchasing a book light that I wasn't quite use to it. Anyways, Verilux gives you everything you need (well, almost everything, batteries are not included) to get started. They give you the book light, a nice storage case, USB cable (to either power or charge the unit, though you need rechargable batteries inside to recharge), and instruction manual.
What's good about it? Plenty, that's for sure. The book light feels very solid, and snaps into place for different positions. The light is bright enough to cover the whole page with a nice clean white light. The light is also handy to use as a little flashlight if you have nothing else to use.
I was also very impressed with the recharge function. The light can be powered by many different means. One way is that you can connect the included USB into it and power the light with no batteries. Alternatively you can put in regular AA batteries, or put in rechargable batteries. Then if you want to recharge the batteries, simply plug in the USB cable and let it charge.
The unit also has two different brightness settings to use in various lighting situations. The case included with the light is very handy, and fits great.
This product is great! There are no major problems with it, as it is a very nice gadget and is considerably bright enough.
This will definitly be the last book light I ever get. It is easy to use, handy, and works great. The recharge function is great, and now I don't have to keep buying batteries for it. What else could you want from a book light?

I hadn't had a chance to try my nifty little book lamp yet, but I had put in the batteries and checked out the functions the day it arrived. That very night, my teen daughter headed out to the deck to sleep because it was so hot. She is a very avid reader, and was taking one of those stick on closet lights outside with all her other sleeping gear. I offered her my new Verilux light to try. Not only did she say it worked great, she stayed up till 2 AM reading on the dark deck!
