So I’ve always been a big fan of Google (except that one thing they did which flopped horribly, their accelerator software) but they never cease to amaze me. Google just released in beta “Google Talk” which is promising to be the next big thing in IM/voice chat. If you use the 2.0 version of Google Desktop Search then you are going to love it even more. They have a way to integrate it into the Google Desktop Search’s sidebar. This is the wave of the future. Since it’s Google, that means integration with Gmail and ability to search for the contacts you want to talk to that are in your Gmail contacts. Another great reason to get a Gmail account.
