GadgetMadness: We find the coolest gadgets first

Maybe it's just my sci-fi minded nature, but when someone says the word "tripod" the first images that comes to mind are disintegration rays and the end of the world as we know it. Yanko Design has released the Boomtune Mini Tripod that is a combination stand and speaker system for your iPod (actually works with any MP3 player.) One AAA player will power this little guy for 10 hours, which is enough time to demolish at least three metropolitan cities. If we had the time, money, and inclination we'd hire Spielberg to remake War of the Worlds with these little guys, with Lego people. Oh - and a Smurf Village, burning in flames too, covered in "blue weed." That would ROCK.
