Kensington Laptop Desktop USB 2.0 Inexpensive Docking Station

kensington_laptop_desktop_usb.jpgAs I type this, I am sitting at my desk using a laptop with at least two memory sticks, a USB mouse, and various other accessories connected to an external USB hub. Wouldn't it be great if someone made a universal laptop dock that had a 4 port USB 2.0 hub that was also padded and would allow you to adjust the height of your screen? If anyone were to make a product like this (Kensington) we would expect it to be really well-priced, well-designed, and easy to use. Oh wait, what's this on the Kensington website...well what do you know....

I would be concerned a about adequate ventilation with this design. It looks ok, but not great. Perhaps a vetilation grill could be a nice addition.

Include a DVD drive would be nice, else some people would be very unhappy to eject their DVD from the front.

Then again, its a cost saving issue, sure they wanted to keep the price under $100
