FlipStart handtop runs Windows XP

The future of PDAs looks pretty grim with the announcement of FlipStart, a mini PC that runs a fully-functional version of Windows XP. Designed by Vulcan, a company owned by Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen, the FlipStart looks set to win the mini PC war. [via BIOS]

WOW! This will totally kill PocketPC. However, isn't this baby gonna be $2000? At that rate, only the geekiest of the geek will have one. I can't see serious typing being done on that puppy either with the keys being so small. But most definitely a cool gadget at any rate!

& I say:
windows standby mode comes back in a few seconds even on my sony picturebook running windows me. Its not instant on but its also a full operating system able to run real programs.
