It seems that the first proof-of-concept virus for Symbian OS has been released in the wild. I guess this means that we'll all soon be downloading Norton Mobile Edition, Tiny Mobile Firewall and other soon-to-come products to protect ourselves from the destructive morons of the world.
Symbian, of course, powers a lot of the new multi-function phones on the market, and Cabir-A was written to transmit itself via Bluetooth disguised as a piece of the telephone's security software. This virus is fairly benign, though annoying, but you can be sure that a slew of malicious ones are on the way.
