Can you pick the REAL Nintendo DS from the handheld systems displayed above? While we are excited about the Nintendo DS as much as a caffeine-addict at a Columbian Starbucks convention, how it looks is another story. It's ugly in a 1983 rear-end of Donkey Kong kind of way, don't you think? What about the "landscape mode" rumor about being able to watch movies on both screens? That big gap in the middle might hinder 16:9 viewing on the DS. No matter, it's all about the games, right? Although we just wish the DS had a little more style than a Brooklyn Hipster.
USA Today breaks the Nintendo DS

That's a little on the hideous side. Kinda like Mario after that drinking binge he went on after he hit the bottom after selling his movie likeness rights to Bob Hoskins.
Whoah, I'm wondering how empty that would sound without the word "after". I really should proofread my comments before I post them.
Hey guys, I broke this story a couple of months ago:

I actually like the design, though I'm a bit skeptical that USA Today's story is the real deal and not just some artist conception. I'm still waiting for some truly official pics to come out of E3.
Same here, i'm waiting for the offical E3 pix, anyway, this is bloody ugly. I hope i won't have to bet on a new Virtual Boy like success ...
I have it from a source on the E3 floor that this is indeed a prototype design, and not the final product.
Hey what is the price on the nintendo DS and release date in America?
Thank You,
Jasmine
