Free Linspiration

Lindows is now called Linspire, and to help kick off the new name, they're giving it away for free. Okay, so it's potentially not completely free; you have to sign up for a 15-day free trial membership, but you can cancel it immediately so they don't sneak up and charge you for it. The trick is that you have to go to the download link for the ISO images, enter a 1-word coupon code (um... could it be.... lindows?) and it will kick off the BitTorrent download for you.

So at the moment, it's 0.52MB complete out of 521.86 with 4 peers, 2 seeds and roughly 103 hours 18 minutes and 58 seconds to go. Where's my instant gratification? I'll get back with you in a week or so and let you know if the download completed.

You'd better try Flonix (www.flonix.com), it's a live CD Linux with complete support for multimedia tasks (dvd / divx / pictures viewing, audio listening, digital tv, digital radio, burning tools) office products and several other tools, all that fits in a mere 60mb !!! You burn the iso on a cd-rom and you boot from the cd and you're done ! Absolutely amazing (and the hardware detection is outstanding, i was surfing wirelessly within 5 minutes :| ) Latest build is 0.41, mail me if you can't find the iso :)

Isos are located there http://mir2.ovh.net/flonix/ i don't have .torrent link but it's direct download and pretty fast moreover. Hope it helps & Have fun :)
