"The Chinese government has ordered local governments to not allow Internet cafe operations in residential areas or within 200 meters of primary and high schools to protect mental health of children. "

Read the story at Mid-Day.com.

It makes sense, really. We don't want our kids to have access to something like the Internet at school, what with it being infested with all that "information" and "accumulated knowledge" and all. Let's see what we can do about getting rid of all those pesky books while we're at it.

I know, I know, it's all about control, and that the Chinese government doesn't want unregulated access through "rogue", unlicensed hotspots. It's just so ridiculous and control freak. You can't completely lock down the airwaves and the free flow of information. One day they'll understand.

By the way, the picture has nothing at all to do with the story. It was just on the first page of GIS results of a search for "no" and I decided that it was irresistable.
