CASSHERN

Some genius Japanese filmmaker threw Blade Runner, Brazil, and Final Fantasy into a blender, poured in two Pan-Galactic Gargle Blasters and one Red Bull, and the result is CASSHERN. You must go watch the trailer now, and then hope (like we are) that this gem is brought to a theater near you SOON.

UPDATE: FilmForce has additional details about the film & plot, paraphrased below:
"The movie is based on an old 35-episode anime called Casshan: Robot Hunter. A scientist invents a robot for pollution control. Well, the robot, BK-1 or the Black King, goes nuts and sets out to enslave mankind using a robot army. The scientist's son somehow merges his body with that of a robot and becomes a super-powered android named Casshan."

Ok...I watched the trailer about 5 times...

I think you used the right image to begin with, but missed the mark on the conclusion. Take Blade Runner, Brazil and Final Fantasy, put them in a blender and you'll get what this film's going to be...a tasteless, disgusting mess.

Based upon what I've seen so far, there's absolutely NO WAY that this (CASSHERN) would have any portion of the sublety found in Blade Runner, or the heart that was in Final Fantasy. I don't know about Brazil, as I found little to recommend it.

They might just as well have done this as an anime or manga animated movie. That's what it already looks like.

I give it an enthusiastic two thumbs down.

I have to disagree with the above post!

This looks like a fun film with lots of action, so what if it doesn't change the world, it still looks beautiful and the cinematography looks top notch...

But then again, i didn't like blade runner.
