Comments?

Tell Us What You Think: I'm considering closing out all comments for articles, as on the average they are not being used. If you want to rally the cause and keep comments open for postings, please use the comments section in this post. :) Based on your feedback, I'll make my decision early next week. Thanks for your viewership and feedback!

~// We now return you to our regular program already in progress.

Update: Based on initial responses, it sounds like keeping the comments is the resounding vote. (I'm glad, 'cause I like them too!) We'll be looking at more ways to use them, such as asking questions in our posts, as suggested. Thanks for your feedback!

I hadn't even realized that this was a feature for this site. Perhaps if you made it more prominent and/or raised some questions in your articles, this might turn out to be a more interactive discussion. Either way, I love this site and check it out daily.

Great suggestions - I've made the comments link more prominent, and I'll start posing questions in future posts. Thanks for your feedback!

... Otherwise, instead of dropping the comment system, you can just minimize it, i mean, minimize the " | comment on this article " by placing it at the bottom of the post, next to the date and the permalink ? Anyway, it's nice to have a system that allow the visitors to discuss about the related topic and i don't think it would be a good idea to totally turn it off. HIH

Oh sorry, i didn't notice your answer to Randy ! Anyway, the highlight of the comment link is quite a good idea. Let's hope it'll invite shy people (like me !) to communicate !

If making comments easier to see will encourage use, then that's easy to accomodate. I'd love to see more discussion, it helps us know if we are posting things that are interesting to read. Thanks again for the great feedback!

Keep the comments! I really enjoyed the comments so far. I't part of the fun when I post. And we'll get more comments when there's more traffic in the future.

DangerBetty @ March 18, 2004 08:24 PM

I really like the comments feature.
It makes the site interactive and I really like to know when people have an opinion about something I post, and also like to post a reply to posts someone else posts! :D

Yaay for Lunacy! Comments are cool! :D

I think that discussion could be fun with some of the topics. It could lead to more topics like the "Sentinel vs. Sentinel" article a couple weeks ago, and that's always a good thing.
