Conclusion

Landlines are slowly but surely becoming a thing of the past. For those of us who remember old school telephone handsets the iClooley phone stand is a stylish and innovative way to display and use your cell phone as your deskphone. However the strong interference reported by every caller we buzzed and with every phone we tried means we can’t recommend the iClooly unless function isn’t a factor for you. For future versions of this product we’d love to see a handset where the callers don’t feel as though they are under attack by a swarm of cellular bees, and volume and call controls built right into the handset.

Hi guys – looks like a great accessory. As I work around studio equipment, I have run into the buzzing issue before. While I didn’t hear the sound recorded, I’m guessing it’s what I ran into and is caused by the phone attempting to find a GPS signal. By turning off location services the buzzing may also go away – assuming it’s the issue I have to deal with.
