The latest new 2nd Generation Zune 2 players have landed on Amazon, and are shipping on November 13th! For those not already familiar the Zune is an MP3 audio & video player that plays your music, videos, and photos. The new 80GB model is priced at $249, the 8GB models for $199 and the 4GB models for $149. So what makes the Zune a competitor to the iPod? For one it has an FM radio built-in that can be accessed directly without having to purchase a special accessory to use it, the Zune will automatically import TV shows or movies on your Windows Media Center PC, and you can stream music, photos, and videos from your Zune device directly to your Xbox 360.
We’ve talked about how much we like the Zune Marketplace before and are glad to see that Microsoft is giving Apple some healthy competition.
