
The Star Trek 40th Anniversary Type II Phaser has 4 power settings (ranging from “tickle” to “cinder”) and an overload setting, and tranforms quickly into a Type I phaser with full lights and sound. As a kid I’d always hoped the future would hold handheld devices like this that could really do this to a reporter.
