Google, The DaVinci Code Quest, and The Cryptex
Our good friend Jason was one of the first 10,000 people to complete Google’s DaVinci Code Quest, he actually has an extensive write-up about the quest on his website. Jason, and 9,999 others who completed the quest received an authorized working model of The Da Vinci Code™ Cryptex which opens with a password, is crafted of die-cast metal and plated in aged gold. Lucky dogs, this replica retails for $145 and isn’t available to the general public until August at the latest. (What doesn’t make sense to me is that these are selling for far less on eBay.)
Update: The eBay craze on these is now in full swing, and they are selling for over $200!

(Many thanks to Jason for the write-up, photos, and the tip!)
