OhGizmo got their grubby mitts on a Nexus Wicked Laser and in the name of science did the obvious: used it to burn tape, pop balloons, and light matches. It’s important to note that lasers like this aren’t toys, and can get you into serious trouble if you aren’t careful. Leave experiments like this to “trained professionals” – if we happen to find any we’ll let you know. We certainly don’t fall into either the “trained” or “professional” category.

    Generally 75mW or more are concerns as high power laser pointer which can burns things easily. Most consumer laser pointer like laser presenter are merely less than 10mW, See http://www.sourcingmap.com/laser-pointer-with-page-updown-function-p-924.html
