SeaMonkey 1.0 Released

SeaMonkey 1.0 ReleasedThose Mozilla guys are at it again. They are no longer making the Mozilla internet suite, at least not under that name. Today they launched version 1.0 of the newly renamed SeaMonkey Internet Suite. I downloaded a copy and to be honest I was hoping for something that combined FireFox, Thunderbird, maybe Sunbird into a new and vastly improved suite. What I got was Mozilla suite with movable tabs and not much else different. If you like having an all in one solution, and an alternative to IE, SeaMonkey might be something to try. If you’re using FireFox and Thunderbird though, I’d say stick with those. I suppose I can’t complain too much about SeaMonkey, it IS open source so if I really wanted a combo FireFox/Thunderbird offering, I’d become a developer and make it so!
