Western Digitals new Raptor at $2 a Gig
Western Digital has unveiled its latest Raptor drive. 10,000 RPM, SATA connectivity and $2 a gig? That’s a bit expensive for my taste but as with most things, these drives are going to start out expensive and slowly work their way down to affordable. I mean who wouldn’t like a 150 Gig drive that spins at 10,000 RPM and has a SATA connection? I know I would but at this point I don’t have the $300 to drop on it. If you do have the jing for this thing, you probably can’t find a faster drive (except maybe for SCSI) at that capacity. Check the specs at WD’s website.
