What’s in the Box?

What’s Good About It?
Oh man, where to start. First of all, the i-volution leather suit smells amazing. You know that smell that hits you when you sit your rear in a Lexus, BMW, or Infiniti? That’s what this case smells like. The PSP Leather Suit is made from the finest full grain Argentine leathers and not only smells amazing but is baby soft to the touch. The craftsmanship that went into making this case boggles the mind. As previously mentioned each case is made to order, no two are the same.
My PSP Sighed…
A handmade case might lead one to think there would be slight imperfections in the leather, or that the PSP might not fit exactly right. Not so with this case, my PSP slipped into its new home with a “sigh” and I snapped it tightly in place with the two button snaps. I don’t want this to come out wrong, but the i-volution is firm where it should be and soft and flexible in the right places. The top and bottom shell are hard and could withstand serious impact while keeping your PSP nice and safe. There is a magnetic snap for the top closure that pulls the top into place and holds it there until you pull it open again. The leather piece that connects the top and bottom has just the right amount of flexibility and also allows you to fold the top half underneath the bottom so that you can use this case to prop up your PSP while watching a movie.
Full Access to Functions and UMD
Three Memory Stick Duo slots let you store all those 512MB and 1GB cards you’ve purchased but don’t have a good place to put in all those other PSP cases. All the front buttons, AC power, shoulder buttons, and UMD slot can be easily reached – this case protects while allowing full access.
Delicious, delicious…
The Vaja leather suit hugs your PSP like a second skin and adds very little additional size to your PSP. This makes slipping it in your jacket pocket possible while keeping it protected from scratches and nicks. The lip around the front of the PSP (the part that keeps it from falling right out the front) also helps protect the outer edges of your PSP from fingerprints. It annoyed me to no end that my PSP constantly had prints and smudges all around the edges no matter how I held it. Notice that I said “had” – now those outer smudges are a thing of the past.
What Could Be Improved?
As I’ve mentioned already, this case is ‘spensive. Vaja cases are obviously luxury items and at this they succeed in spades. You’re twelve-year old son isn’t going to appreciate this case, but your significant other who likes and can appreciate fine things will. That being said, this is one of the few items we’ve reviewed that we can find no fault with. The Vaja i-volution PSP Leather Suit makes no pretense about what it is or what it does: it’s the highest quality PSP case money can buy, and it protects your PSP while allowing full access.
