Gizmondo Finally Released in US
The Gizmondo, an interesting game device that has some unique features like GPS, a built in camera, and GPRS data support, launched yesterday in the US. The device, which runs on a customized version of Microsoft’s CE OS, has been out for several months in Britain.
The Gizmondo not only takes games on SD cards, but will play media files on its built in Windows Media Player. Too bad that the company has already annouced a widescreen version of the product (no current release date), so those interested might want to wait. The device will retail for about $229.
