The Nintendo Revolution Controller *yawn*
Here’s my personal take on the Revolution: Nintendo woke up and saw themselves between the legs of giants Sony and Microsoft, and probably said to themselves no way can we compete here. Instead, let’s ‘innovate’ and create something totally niche instead. Which is great for the market they are going after, which according to Nintendo are people (non-gamers) who are overwhelmed by the so-called complex gaming consoles of today. Personally, you could strap me into a mech cockpit with 47 virtual HUD displays, two complex hand controls and foot pedals and I’d be grinning like the gamer freak I am. So when Nintendo says they are going to cater to the people who don’t normally game, it kinda turns me off. (Before the flame comments come in, take note that I play my Gamecube more than any console I own right now, and my favorite system of all time is the Nintendo Virtual Boy.)
