Smith Corona Computer Keyboard
This custom “keyboard” is the result of a labor of love – the creator’s wife suffers from repetitive stress syndrome in her wrists and fingers, so he set out to make the ultimate Christmas present. He hacked the electronics of a regular keyboard into an old-fashioned gradual resistance typewriter, which wasn’t as easy as it sounds. (‘Shift’ was rocky, and ‘backspace’ was just too hard. But ‘space’ was “just right.”)
