XBox 2: will not be backwards compatible, so Xbox games to cost $600 each?

GI reports that the XBox 2 will not be backwards compatible with the Xbox,
XBox 2: will not be backwards compatible, so Xbox games to cost $600 each? which means that those consumers (like me) that waited to purchase an XBox will likely be more inclined to stick with Sony for their gaming needs. Backwards compatibility is nice – there are only so many consoles you can fit in the average entertainment center.
In other news, while it would be funny to suggest that Microsoft will begin to charge over $600 for each new XBox game to be released, we suspect that this copy of Spiderman 2 listed at over $600 on CompUSA’s website is just a pricing goof. (We hope.)
CompUSA – Buy Spiderman 2 for $629.04!
