Coke C2: One! Two! Three Artifical Sweeteners, A Hah Hah!
That’s right, that low-carb “newest of new” Coke C2 has three artificial sweeteners, PLUS sugar. (Aspartame, acesulfame potassium and sucralose. We even scanned in the label so you could see for yourself.) I tried a bottle yesterday, and was impressed, until I read the label. If I wanted to continue to load my system with ingredients I can’t pronounce, I’d still be drinking sugar-free Red Bull. sigh.

Alleged adverse effects. I’ve done a lot of reading about aspartame and acesulfame k and I find a lot of contradictory information. I’ve decided that I’m going to just avoid them whenever possible. Now I just drink antifreeze and Drain-O cocktails (shaken, not stirred).

I would argue it’s better to use three different sweeteners, since the adverse effects of each one will be only 1/3 of what they would be if they were used only.

Tom Karches says:

I tried some today; it was OK. Why don’t they just make something with less sugar…I mean high fructose corn syrup. Sucralose is “Splenda”, BTW
