Google has announced that is will soon be offering free email, but with 1Gig of FREE storage per account. Just think of all the illegal MP3s you could store there!!! Sadly, the maximum attachment size is 10Meg, so no application/mpeg storage for you freeloaders out there (like me).

I thought googlemail.com was the domain they were planning to use. Hoax or not, time will tell. I don’t think Google would perpetuate a hoax so far as to damage their image (IPO on horizon and all) and if this was a hoax their image would certainly be damaged.
Hope it isn’t fake – I signed up for my account last night!

I am a very suspicious person. I would not post something if I thought it was possibly fake. That goes double on April Fool’s day.

As reported on other sites, spymac.com’s free email service just increased storage capacity to 1GB because “Spymac agrees with the staff at Google that a 1 GB e-mail account makes sense”.
Hmm okay. I would sign up for this, but I am puzzled as to why the site is aimed so strongly at Mac users… isn’t is just web-based email? Bah.
